SCS is a third-party certification agency that sets science-based standards of excellence. The Andersen/Renewal by Andersen portfolio has almost one hundred home windows and patio doors certified by SCS Global Services to enhance energy-efficiency, improve indoor air quality and reduce harmful impacts on our environment.
Renewal by Andersen’s patented Fibrex window frame material used for sash and frames meets SCS standards to protect our natural resources by reclaiming wood fiber from wood window manufacturing and vinyl clad patio door frames. As much as 40% of the material used in the composite is reclaimed wood fiber.
